@ death, nice start! The way you drew gwen's hair makes it seem like she did an abrupt stop and her hair kept swinging, which seems perfect for a little girl seeing something catch her eye, but then wonder... should I or shouldn't I :O ! I think your trees should be bigger though, or put a trunk closer to us so we get the feeling we're walking through the forest with her I'm liking it! Are you doing this on a tablet?

@odinius! How stunning! Congratulations on a beautiful piece! That definitely beats Playdoh! The LED's you put in there just add the perfect touch and really makes it so real!

@ Odinius. That is so cute! Great idea, implementation, and arrangement for the final pictures.

@ Death. You can buy it in Canada, most commonly under the names Fimo or Scupley III. They are both types of polymer clay. I use Sculpey III for my dragons. So far red has been the worst one for staining for me but I try to wear gloves when I work with it.

Originally with gwen I was trying to make it look like there was a breeze on her, but i had her small and more forward so you could see it easier on the skirt. But i couldnt draw the legs so i moved her closer xD

The trees i can deffinatly adjust, I see what you mean by more involved too. It will deffinatly benefit from it ^^

yeah, i'm using a wacom bamboo tablet; medium sized.

@kiya O: i've heard of scupley good to know its available local to me :3

Spoiler tags are added via [spoil] (and the /spoil end).

I personally think the face of the Shatterer needs a bit more detail - primarily the second eye - if they're glowing, then even if we don't see that eye, we should be able to see the glow at such an angle.

Dutch, it looks much better now. Glad you had time to follow up ^_^
The tree branch looks a lot better and so does the rounded out pumpkin.
Now I can see that the candle in the bottom left is a lit candle in an ornamental hanger thing.
Gratz on getting it done!

Odinius, WOW that's amazing! Very nice shots you have in your final piece!

Kittycricri, Such a beautiful costume! The night shots with the flames turned out great!
Makes me want to have that kind of setup for when I do some ritualist - object manipulation video/pictures in a month or so. ^_^

Tzu: I like the idea of a IRC chat! We can give advices to each other that way too then, though I'm not sure how the future judges would be able to keep track on who's being most helpful (for that category of prizes I mean).
In any case, whether it be helping other people or just chatting away, it's a nice idea IMHO.

Thanks
Actually it's a lot easier to draw hair than I thought it would be. ^_^
I'm far from pro hair looks, but I can do a short tutorial kind of thing sometime if anyone is interested.

I hope no one minds me sneaking in with an entry so late in the day. (if you do, I'll just sneak back out again. ) I only really got the time a couple of days ago to get anything done so WIPs and such weren't really an option.

*Idea totally stolen from Sayael. But I suggest listening to this while viewing it.

"Danse Macabre."

Apologies for the watermark, I'll take that off once the deadline has passed.

Since you can enter twice I have been ... encouraged ... to throw this in as well, just a bit of fun painted while hanging about at the Pink Day in LA event:

"All Hallows' Eve."

@Death, Oh cool! I'm such a art tech newb that I assumed everyone was using a tablet computer to do their drawings D: Now I want to invest in one of those drawing tablets, too How is drawing on it? Is it weird having to draw while looking on the screen instead of like on a piece of paper?

@Penguin: lol, by reading your title and seeing the suit on the guy, I'd write what I think you're trying to say in your piece but I don't want to offend anyone if I'm totally wrong XD You're painting style is absolutely stunning.

@Arghore: nice! and a public service announcement, too I was listening to your music and it's definitely hair-raising, especially at the end D: very good job!

@widomaker: wow, i don't know how you did it, but it really looks like that hand is coming out of the screen at me D: Amazing job!

@Arvida: That was fast! I thought you'd turn your entry in tomorrow morning at the earliest! It came out really nice… I don't think I've mentioned how much I love what you did to the purple XD

Thistle, what an amazing story!
Superbly written, easy to follow and so exciting!

Everyone should read it, it might look long, but believe me you don't want it to end for at least another couple hundred pages. ^_^
